At the uncoming SIHH, IWC is scheduled to release two brand new models: the IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph and the IWC Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere Retrograde. The former, sized at mm, is available in stainless steel with two dial options(silver and black)or in red gold with slate colored dial featuring sunburst patter, and the latter comes with 18K red gold version and platinum version that are limited to 500 pieces and 250 pieces respectively.
The IWC Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere Retrograde has long been in the IWC watches collection. The updated version for SIHH 2010 features the retrograde date display and adorable 7-days power reserve. The red gold version has a silver dial, and the platinum owns a ruthenium black dial.
Overall, both new watch offering from IWC are splendid. I am sure they will, like the brand’s Aquatimer collection last year, cause quite a sensation at the show. I can not help but “wow” at the IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph at first sight, and I find the Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere Retrograde is absolutely intriguing.
