Maurice Lacroix has created a nice-looking watch-Classique Phases de Lune Watch for its 2010 offerings. As the name suggests, this watch comes with a classic style while keeping not a few characters of the brand.

It has conventional triple calendar look , features rounded hands that are quite unique and is added with a subtle touch of modernity as well. While I like the look now, I am not sure if it can keep its aesthetic value. I am afraid that people may not choose such design in ten years from now.

The case, sized at 40mm, is available in stainless, two-tone steel as pictured and gold. Personally, I love this two-tone version as the nice color combination really cheers me up. All versions are fitted with sapphire crystal and house the Swiss automatic ML caliber 37. And the cases are water resistant to 30 meters.

While the size is not large, this watch is actually very versatile. The dial is very well organized to clearly display functions including the time. The date, the month , the week day and moon phase indicator. The dial is a pleasure to look at indeed.
