Marvin M114 collection for Holiday Season 2009
November 11th, 2009 by Lily Allen
Marvin, a respectable watch maker of 160 years of watch making history, unveils its M114 collection for the upcoming holiday seacon. The collection contains one PVD rose gold version and one stainless steel version. With modern designs and sophisticated appearance, the M114 is an attactive mixture of refinment and style.
The M114 inherits the rectangular shape of the M014 collection. Sized at 38 by 50mm, it can make quite an impressive presence on your wrist. Aside from the sapphire crystal at the front, the case also features nice lugs resulting from fine curved polished and satin brushed finishes. Like all Marvin watches, the M114 is coupled by a black jack leather strap with red interior and Ardillon buckle bearing Marvin logo.
The dial, available in black or silver with carbon fibre pattern at the top and bottom, attracts attention with an open work that reveals the escapement of the the Sellita SW 200 automatic mechanical movement. Also interesting is the distinctive half-circle-shaped seconds subdial whose reading is indicated by a central hand featurig half red and half skeletonized design. And you may notice that the 8 o’clock hour maker comes with iconic red tone. And I love other red tones that adds a sporty touch to the dial as well.
The movement carries the realiable quality of Swiss-made and has a power reserve of 38 hours. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters.
The retail price is likely to be 990 euros PVD pink gold version, and 890 euros for the stainless steel version. And both versions carry a two year warranty.
