I think not many people know Feldo as it is a new comer to the watch making industry. And Feldo starts its journey in watch world with an original collection that contains Feldo 1-1 R/B and 1-2 B/B watches. The two models apply lots of carbon fiber and look quite similar with some minor differences
The octagonal case, sized at 45mm has a round dial that uses the “world’s thinnest” carbon fiber plates, according to Feldo. The hour hand and minute hand are large, thin and circular-very interesting to look at But their shapes are not distinctive as Ulysse Nardin watches applied similar hands on their high-end products before. And the seconds hand is another intriguing element of the dial. The date is displayed in a much sharp way as well. It seems that this watch tries to prove that the carbon fibre fever will last quite a time with so much this material on it.
The watch case is presented on black PVD steel with some red gold plated parts. And the watch has an an automatic Soprod A10 movement inside. Through the display case back, you can have a clear view of it. And the watch is completed by high quality calf leather strap that has white and black options. The price is around 2,775 euros.
The first watch offering from Feldo have not a few design elements that I like many many, but they are a bit far from maturity given the high prices tags. This new brand much be very eager to make it stand out from the watch world by new design features. But sadly, their designs still pale before those from old luxury watch brands that have long tradition and history.
