The vintage 1945 rectangular case (28.60 x 30.30 mm), crafted in rose gold,  presents with a contemporary looK.  To better match the wrist, it is endowed with a a spherical profile.

The three skeleton bridges are still the biggest eye-takers. It is said that the hollow-out and the finishing took around 7 days to complete. The watch-makers of Girard-Perregaux deserve respect as their meticulous work give birth to three bridges of aesthetic simpleness and pure lines. The tourbillon is composed of 72 parts. The amazing point is that all these parts are housed within a diameter of merely one centimeter.

The case is enlarged to 40.5mm at diameter. With a simple yet elegant look, the case is presented on either 18K rose gold or platinum. The white dial, like all A. The Richard Lange Pour le Merite watch is driven L044.1 a manual-winding and hand-crafted movement which is exclusively developed and manufactured by A. Lange & Sohne. The most interesting part about this movement is that it is fitted with a very special and highly complex mechanism composed of 636 parts. It is called fusee chain. The mechanism, connected to the mainspring barrel like a tiny bicycle chain, has two main functions. Firstly, it helps the mainspring deliver a balanced and consistent level of power release rather than an uneven one. The consistency of the power release is achieved thanks to the fact that the fusee chain is wound around a cone shaped cylinder which winds at a different rate. Secondly, the fusee chain assists to ensure the safe winding of the main spring.

Journalist: How is Longines’ market strategy in China?

Walter: We employ Chinese to manage our Chinese market and that is why we can open this market quickly. In addition, we use local stars and celebtities as Longines ambassador. Now, we have more than 310 sales points in mainland China. The Master Collection is the most popolar line here. We are glad to see that the sport watches enjoyed quick sales increase in the 2007 and 2008. In the past, sport watches counted small proportion in China. Now the situation is quite different.

Journalist: Will Longiness make some adjustment in the near future?

Walter: Swatch group is a force to be reckoned in Swiss watch-making industry. As a member of Swatch Group, Longines shoulders certain responsibility different from other members. As Omega watches increase their price, Longines will strength the products within 12000RMB to 20000 RMB.

Journalist: How was Longines’ performance in 2008?

Walter: Under the haze of financial crisis, Longines made some achievement in 2008. The sale grew sharply in the first 10 months last year. Though the speed of growth slowed down at the end of 2008,  our sales in the first quarter of this year keeps positive increase trend compared with the same period last year.

Journalist: Where does Chinese market stand in Longines global market?

Walter: China is the No.1 market of Longines. No special strategy is needed as this advantage will only incease. It has been more than 140 years since Longines entered China. The produst supply has beem developed very mature. The advantage is obvious in Longines global market.

Journalist: Can you sum up the the relationship between watched and the time?

Walter: What I want to say is that watches just mark the time or record the time. And every body is equal before time because no one can corrupt the time.
